Here is an ever expanding list of dances I have written.  I’ve walked or danced through some of these with dancers and correct them as needed.  Please email me with comments, questions, suggestions, or problems.  And if you happened to have called or danced one of these, certainly let me know!

“Dog Day Dance”  – 06/2007
     Improper, single progression
     Difficulty (1-5): 3
     Music: Jig
 
A1:    Neighbor balance & swing (16 counts)
 
A2:    Ladies lead right-shoulder half hey-for-four (8 counts) ladies go a bit more than half
         Ladies do-si-do in the middle 1+1/2 (8 counts)
 
B1:    Partner Gypsy (8 counts)
         Partner Swing (8 counts) (or alternatively, just one long swing)
 
B2:    Ladies chain across (8 counts)
         Balance partner, pull by right, pull neighbor by left to new neighbor (8 counts) (this is
         essentially a half “square through”)
“Courtesies to the Gents”  – 07/2007
     Becket, single progression
     Difficulty (1-5): 2
 
A1:    Right-hand star all the way around (8 counts)
         Partner swing (8 counts)
 
A2:    Ladies allemande 1+1/2 (8 counts)
         Neighbor gypsy (8 counts)
 
B1:    Left-hand star all the way around (8 counts)
         Neighbor Swing (8 counts)
 
B2:    Gents chain across (8 counts) lady will still end up on the right
         Promenade across - gents pass left shoulders, turn to right along set (8 counts)
“At Last”  – 08/2007
     Becket, single progression
     Difficulty (1-5): 4
 
A1:    Gents into the center and balance in long line of gents (8 counts)
         Gents pull by left with non-neighbor gent and allemande or gypsy “left diagonal” lady by
         R (8 counts)
 
A2:    Ladies gypsy left shoulder once around, while gents orbit clockwise halfway (8 counts)
         Swing your shadow (8 counts), finish swing facing down the hall
 
B1:    Down the hall in a line of four, turn as couple (8 counts)
         Come back, middles arch, ends duck through (8 counts)
 
B2:    Partner balance and swing (16 counts)
 
 
“Belgian Chocolate”  – 10/2007
